Forever Open Optimus RP Post
Open Optimus RP post Hey, I don't really play Optimus in any games at the moment, but that doesn't mean I want to stop playing him! So bring your characters, give me a situation, and I'll be happy to roleplay the big guy with you! | |

The spark's erratic behavior calms, slowly moving closer and closer to the giant, minuscule in comparison. It seems to shiver, at the comment Megatron makes. Of course, Megatron would go for something more elaborate than a 'journey'. An epic conquest, perhaps.
But even then, they always boil down to their simplest form. Like a Prime boiling down to a simple spark, no different than the rest.
A journey, indeed.
...
But at the question, the spark zips back to life, taking a glance around the arena. It's memories were still fresh, still developing. It'd only just begun to recognize people, voices. So a place like this...
It was proving to be a challenge. The spark turns around, heading in the other direction, as if trying to place something. It's familiar...it's definitely familiar.
An arena. For fighting.]

I fought several gladiator matches within this arena, many of them my first. But that is not what makes it so significant to you and me. It is here where Orion Pax and I first met, and where he first saw me kill a mech with my bare hands. I imagine that he could have left right then, but instead he chose to approach me.
In other words: This is where it all began.
[He sighs and bows his head again, his fingers digging into the rusty ground.]
I wonder if it is fate that the war had not destroyed this arena entirely.

The gladatorial pits of Kaon.
The flight path of the spark is a little more erractic once again, as if happy. Excited. Everything had started here, hadn't it? Slowly, piece by piece the gaps of his memory were filling in. From the very start.
I am Orion Pax. I was here to see those gladiator matches.
The spark sinks back down, next to Megatron's shoulder, as calm and serene as he'd always been. The one constant every Cybertronian had, no matter what form.
This...was where it all started.]

[Megatron watches the spark dance around and an unfamiliar feeling warms his spark. There's something about that particular spark that makes him feel... happy. Content. When the spark drifts closer, he reaches up and gently cups his hand around it, being careful not to actually the lifeforce.]
You could not ignore the injustices of the world any more than I could.

Naive...perhaps. But without experience, everyone is. And that's what he'd gained on this journey, hadn't he? Through the hardship of everything...peace was found. Respect was gained.
Alliances were torn and rebuilt.
And now...everything could repair itself. Like a machine that can adapt. Change.
When those hands cup around it, the spark shivers with anticipation, followed by a slight bounce.
We were alike, you and I.]

[He says, watching the light from the spark bounce off his fingers. It's tempting to actually touch it, to stroke it, but even Megatron knows better.]
You and I were born opposites. That was what drove us onward, and how we worked so well when we finally met.
Despite everything, I do not regret meeting you, Orion.

To him, he's learned enough. Healing can begin, no matter how slow.
I never regretted it either.
You were merely lost, old friend.]

I do not deserve any of it. The fate that ultimately awaits me when I die is one I have worked hard to earn. It is sobering to know that I you and I will never meet again.
It is difficult to process when my entire life has revolved around our conflict.

There are some things that not even Unicron and Primus can keep apart.
The spark seems to have faith, twirling around Megatron's head a moment, then around his arms, weaving through them.
Orion...seemed confident. Ever the optimist.]
